EAST LANSING — Summer returned to Michigan a few days ago, causing Spartan Stadium to feel like a sauna in early fall. The Big Fogg machines were on both sidelines as Michigan State and Northwestern football players gathered under the cooling mists. The game-time temperature was 81 degrees on Saturday, but with a 58% humidity, it felt hotter.
