TIFTON — Anyone who stepped outside Monday afternoon could tell you it felt like a sauna with the hot and steamy conditions. But that was the same atmosphere the Tift County Blue Devils had to go through as coach Jay Walls’ football team practiced for the first time in full pads.
With a repertoire as eccentric as its member’s moustaches, Drakkar Sauna’s music manages to outrun its shtick. With elements of country, folk and occasionally punk, DS sounds a little like Daniel Johnston and a little like a carnival. It makes you feel nostalgic, but you’re not sure why.
