Grand Cascades opens Biosphere

HARDYSTON — The new $7 million Biosphere at Grand Cascades Lodge at Crystal Springs is open. In addition to two free-form swimming pools, an underground aquarium and a hot tub, the 10,000-square-foot pool complex includes a 140-foot water slide, a vortex pool and a cave-themed steam room and sauna.

A Season the Nose Knows

How hot was it in Al-Qatif yesterday? It was terribly, horribly hot. At 7 o’clock in the morning the temperature was 38 degrees Celsius (100 F) and the humidity was 44 percent, which meant that it felt like it was 46 degrees C (115 F). So why were we all indulging in an open air sauna?

Titans turn up the heat

Support for pool upgrade proposal

A proposal to upgrade Cobar's ageing swimming pool to a fully equipped complex offering a heated section of the main pool, hydrotherapy pool, gymnasium, spa and sauna, new kiosk, dressing rooms and toilets, received unanimous support at a meeting of swimming club members and shire council representatives last Thursday.
